Tree of Memories
Our Tree of Memories is a beautiful way to honour someone you love.
Located in our Room for Reflection, this handmade, bespoke tree by artist Claudia Ashley-Brown features 410 elegant gold, silver, and bronze leaves. Each leaf can be personalized with an engraving to create a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one.
Anyone you wish to hold dear. You can dedicate a leaf to any loved one, regardless of whether they were cared for at Teesside Hospice.
Engraving takes approximately four weeks. To ensure your tribute is exactly as you want it, we will send you a confirmation letter to check the wording and spelling before we begin. Once your leaf is placed on the tree, we will personally invite you to come and see it.
Leaves remain on the tree for a set period, depending on your chosen leaf color. Once this time passes, you can choose to renew your leaf, or we can send it home for you to cherish forever.
Yes, you are welcome to visit whenever you need a quiet moment to remember your loved one. The tree’s location was carefully chosen to balance visibility with privacy. We just ask that you contact us ahead of your visit to guarantee access.
By remembering your loved one in this special way, you help fund our vital work for years to come. Your donation ensures that we can continue supporting people affected by terminal illness—and their families—helping them make the most of every day and create lifelong memories.
